"This ominous painting is inspired by the many tales of the Kraken, a sea monster that captures and sinks ships and their crew. This piece depicts the Kraken (who I like to call Kurly) reaching up towards a ship crossing its lair. In the foreground are treasures scattered amongst sand and shells, suggesting a teasing answer to what happened to the other previous ships that had mysteriously gone missing."
This piece comes in a fantastically chunky, dark, wooden frame which was specifically chosen to suit the painting.
